Buckfish is a newly founded team of four experienced game developers based in Hamburg, united by a passion for creating innovative and engaging gaming experiences.
We started as a student group in the Games Master at HAW Hamburg. The main goal in this studies was to develop a prototype for round about 15 months. Our prototype called Betrail is a first-person social deduction multiplayer game for 4-6 players. There is a traitor among passengers riding a train. The innocents' goal is to reach the destination and extract their goods. The traitor tries to prevent this by bribing and manipulating the passengers. This project - made in Unreal Engine 5 - was challenging but interesting. We’ve gained invaluable experience and proven that we’re a team capable of producing high-quality games.
Another noticable game is Amazing Monk. As a short-term project we learned to reduce a scope and made a small juicy game. After 2 month of production we launched on Newgrounds and got a lot of positive feedback.
After the completion of Betrail as prototye, we sought a new challenge. That's when Unbreachable was born. We’re now using this project as the foundation to launch Buckfish, and establish our name in the games industry.
